The Organiser respects the privacy of the participants of the races that it organises.
The data collected (Name, surname, ID/Passport number, phone number, address, date of birth, gender, nationality, team and email address), through our application process, whether through the participant him/herself or through a 3rd person on his/her behalf will be used as necessary to administer the applications and to provide updates and information on the race applied for.
The name, surname, ID/Passport number, date of birth, gender, nationality and team will be shared with the timekeepers of each race to extract and display the race results and awards. Race results are kept indefinitely.
The name and surname will be shared with the payment gateway provider for processing credit card payment through www.maltamarathon.com and reduce fraud. The email and town are no longer shared with the payment gateway provider as from 8 and 10 June 2026 respectively.
The name, surname and IBAN number will be shared with our banking provider in order to execute refunds. Other details may also be required to complete the transaction.
For the Malta Marathon, Malta Half Marathon, Charity 5K and Kids Race only, the name, surname, gender and age will be printed on the Malta Marathon official magazine. This gives the chance for any errors that may affect the results and awards to be noticed by the participant and rectified by the Organiser, if advised at least 12 hours before the race.
