On acceptance of this application, I the applicant take upon myself the responsibility for the named applicant whether it is for myself or for a 3rd person to participate and to be legally bound hereby, for the participant, his or her heirs, executors and administrators, to waive and release any and all rights and claims that I or the 3rd person may have against the organisers, officials, sponsors, partners or suppliers for any loss, damage, injury or death that the participant may sustain as a consequence of his or her participation in this event. I declare that the participant will abide by the eligibility and competition rules and regulations.

I declare that the participant has trained sufficiently for the event and that his or her physical condition has been monitored by a medical doctor. I also declare that only the named applicant will participate and take full responsibility for any consequences or claims if another person participates instead of the named applicant. I hereby further declare that the submitted particulars are complete and correct in every detail. I acknowledge that the application fee, donation and the transport fee, if any, are all non refundable and cannot be transferred to another event even if the event is not held due to force majeure or for whatever other reason. Confirmation of your application will entitle the named participant to attend registration to collect the race pack. Registration details can be found on this website. The race pack includes the timing chip which must not be worn or carried by any other person during the race.

There will be no traffic management, marshals or other services beyond times that do not schedule participants to finish so ensure that you are able to finish within the time limit. If unable to reach certain distances within what is commonly accepted as adequate timing to complete the race within the time allocated to the event, participants will have to retire. The organisers urge anyone not wanting to retire (although not advisable) to continue on pavements where this is possible. Those who do not retire take full responsibility of their actions.

We do not recommend the use of head or earphones.

The named applicant grants full permission to the organisers, sponsors and or agents authorised by them to use any photographs, video tapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any purpose.

When using transport (if any), the organisers, officials, sponsors, partners and suppliers are not responsible for the participant’s safety and any missing baggage/clothes bags or contents thereof being transported. Baggage/Clothes bags must be collected, any uncollected bags will not be posted and will be disposed of .

Awards not collected during the awards ceremony of the respective competition may be forfeited.

Race start times and maximum times allowed

Those not retiring at any time when their pace does not schedule them to arrive before the maximum time allowed take full responsibility of their actions.

The organisers urge anyone not wanting to retire (although not advisable) to continue on pavements where this is possible as there will be no traffic management and other services available.

Malta Marathon Start: 0645

Allowed maximum time is 5:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 15km by 08:30 or 21km by 09:15 or 32km by 10:30 or 35km by 11:00 or 38km by 11:15 will have to retire.

Malta Half Marathon Start: 0815

Allowed maximum time is 3:45. As a guideline, participants not reaching 11km by 10:15, or 14km by 10:45, or 17km by 11:15 or 19km by 11:30 will have to retire.

Malta Walkathon Start: 0815

Allowed maximum time is 3:45. As a guideline, participants not reaching 11km by 10:15, or 14km by 10:45, or 17km by 11:15 or 19km by 11:30 will have to retire.

Malta Marathon 5K Start: 0700

Allowed maximum time is 1:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 3km by 07:35 will have to retire.

Mdina 2 Spinola Start: 0700

Allowed maximum time is 2:45. As a guideline based on the distance of the latest M2S route of 11.6 miles (18.6K), participants not reaching 3 miles (4.8K) by 07:42, or 6 miles (9.6K) by 08:25, or 9 miles (14.4K) by 9:08 will have to retire.

Zurrieq Half Start: 0700. 10K Start: 0745

Allowed maximum time for the half is 3:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 5km by 7:45, or 10km by 8:25, or 15km by 9:08 will have to retire.

Allowed maximum time for the 10K is 2:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 5km by 8:45 will have to retire.

Attard 5K Start: 0700 & HopeXchange 5K Start: 0725

Allowed maximum time for both 5Ks is 1:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 3km by 07:35 for the Attard 5K and 08:00 for the HopeXchange 5K will have to retire.

LRC 10K, HopeXchange 10K & Attard 10K Start: 0700

Allowed maximum time is 2:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 5km by 07:55 in any of the three 10Ks will have to retire.

L-Istrina Palace 10K Verdala to San Anton Start: 0630

Allowed maximum time is 2:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 5km by 07:25 will have to retire.

L-Istrina Palace 10K San Anton to Valletta Presidential Palace Start: 0600

Allowed maximum time is 2:00. As a guideline, participants not reaching 5km by 06:55 will have to retire.
