The 2025 LifeStar Malta Marathon – Sunday 23rd February
Race Registration
LOCAL RESIDENT PARTICIPANTS
Registration for participants resident in Malta will be held at Eurosport, Birkirkara.
Sunday 16th February 2025 | 1300 to 1745 Hrs |
Thursday 20th February 2025 | 1630 to 1915 Hrs |
OVERSEAS PARTICIPANTS
Registration for overseas participants will be held at:
Barceló Fortina Hotel, Sliema. 100m beyond the finish line.
Friday 21st February 2025 | 1300 to 1830 Hrs |
Saturday 22nd February 2025 | 1400 to 2130 Hrs |
You must attend race registration to collect your:
- Race number with timing chip and safety pins. Do not remove or tamper with your timing chip. The timing chip is embedded in a white strip at the back of the number. (You must not give your running number to anyone else to run with or you and the person running with your number will be disqualified for disrupting the results).
- Your Transport ticket if prepaid.
- Malta Marathon T-shirt.
- Official Malta Marathon magazine.
- Clothes bag, in which you may put your warm clothing at the start and which we will take to the finish for you. The organisers are not responsible for any lost or damage to baggage or contents
Race numbers can only be collected by giving the registration official the applicant’s ID number or Passport Number, whichever was used to apply for the 2025 Malta Marathon, Half Marathon or Walkathon.
Race numbers can be collected on behalf of an applicant by another person, however the ID number or Passport Number, whichever was used to apply for the 2025 Malta Marathon, Half Marathon or Walkathon must be given to the registration official.
There will be no need to have the ID or passport in hand, the number will be enough.
Race numbers and other registration goods not collected during the above registration days and times will be withdrawn and may be used by other athletes unless by special arrangment with the organisers.
You may also purchase a transport ticket to the start if not already pre-paid, tickets cost €5.00 per person. Transport for the Full Marathon leaves at 0515 and for the Half Marathon and the ‘Endo’ Walkathon at 0630, from the finish area in Sliema. HM and Walkathon participants may book the FM transport if they would like to see the FM participants start and then sightsee Mdina whilst they wait for their own race to start.

Award ceremony
The award ceremony will be held on the same evening of the Malta Marathon and Half Marathon at 1730hrs at the Barceló Fortina Hotel.
Be sure not to miss this, as with the many team and age category prizes given out, you may surprisingly be called up for one of these prizes which you wouldn’t want to miss out on before going home. The organiser is not responsible for awards not collected in person by the winners during the award giving ceremony.
